BOW BOTTOM TRAIL

Bridge girder delivery and installation will be conducted the week of March 10, 2025. Overnight lane closures will occur to facilitate the transportation and delivery of the girders. See onsite signage for details.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

RAMP AND LANE CLOSURES DUE TO GIRDER DELIVERY
The new girders for the bridge over the Anderson/Bow Bottom ramp will be delivered and installed during the night.

The following ramp closures will occur as follows:

  • The Anderson/Bow Bottom ramp will be temporarily CLOSED from 9:00 PM until 05:00 AM to protect the public during girder delivery.
  • All traffic travelling on Anderson Road and Bow Bottom Trail northbound to Deerfoot Trail northbound will need to seek alternate routes. Please see map below for details

In addition, southbound lane closures affecting Deerfoot Trail will occur:

  • The right-hand lane on Deerfoot Trail southbound will be closed to manage the delivery and installation of the bridge girders.

OVERNIGHT WORK
Girder erection activities will require crews to work overnight to reduce traffic impacts due to lane and ramp closures.

ANTICIPATED IMPACTS
All efforts will be made to mitigate the impact of noise and dust on nearby residents during night hours.

TIMELINES
The work will start the week of March 10, 2025, and will last approximately 4 consecutive nights.

SPEED REDUCTION
Speed reductions will be implemented throughout the work zones. For your safety, please obey onsite signage and posted speed limits.
