IVOR STRONG BRIDGE

Public access to the ramp from Bow Bottom Trail to 15 Street SE (Lafarge access) permanently closed in November 2023. The closure is required to provide access for equipment and materials to prepare and execute upcoming piling works for the Ivor Strong Bridge improvements.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

Signage, barricades and warning signs will be installed along the ramps from Bow Bottom Trail and Anderson Road to Deerfoot Trail South to warn motorists of the closure. Please abide by all traffic signage.

The speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/hour on the ramps from Bow Bottom Trail and Anderson Road to Deerfoot Trail South. The speed restriction is in place to enhance traffic and worker safety.

Additional impacts and lane closures are expected in the coming months to accommodate this work.

Please be mindful of and obey onsite signage and traffic accommodations. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to complete these complex, multi-year improvements.
