How will Deerfoot Trail be improved in this area?

  • The Ivor Strong Bridge will be twinned:
    • A new bridge will be constructed adjacent to the existing bridge
    • Once complete, the new bridge will carry all southbound traffic and the existing bridge will carry all northbound traffic
  • Areas adjacent to the bridge will have a minimum of three continuous lanes in each direction
