IVOR STRONG BRIDGE

On the week of January 6, 2025, crews will be conducting a series of activities pertaining to bridge foundations at Ivor Strong Bridge. This work is required for the future Ivor Strong Bridge twinning structure.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?

FOUNDATION WORK AT IVOR STRONG BRIDGE
Crews will be drilling boreholes on the west side of Ivor Strong Bridge that will be used for foundations and retaining walls needed for the new twin bridge.

ANTICIPATED IMPACTS
Although best efforts will be made to minimize any disturbance, residents in nearby areas may notice increased noise from ongoing borehole drilling with a truck rig.

OVERNIGHT WORK
Drilling work will be performed at night to reduce traffic impacts due to the lane closures needed to complete this work.

TIMELINES
The activities will last approximately one week.

SPEED REDUCTION
Speed reductions will be implemented throughout the work zone. For your safety, please obey onsite signage and posted speed limits.
